The BOLT™ IMPACT ARMOR™ developed with Milwuakee Tool utilises RHEON™ technology to provide advanced slip, trip & fall protection on the jobsite.
Injuries from slips, trips, and falls are some of the most common injuries and can result in oblique impact forces being passed to the brain. These oblique impacts can cause Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs). The BOLT™ IMPACT ARMOR™ liner delivers the best oblique impact protection to help protect the brain.
The BOLT™ IMPACT ARMOR™ liner offers localised protection from top and side impacts with a computationally optimised cell structure. The Milwaukee® test for Oblique Impact Energy was a duplicate of RHEON LABS’ own test rig, designed to simulate a common slip, trip, and fall injury with the inertia of the body accounted for.
// Behind the Design
The IMPACT ARMOR™ liner consists of a densely packed structure of high-shear cells, designed to minimise rotational acceleration of the head during impact scenarios.
The design is particularly optimised for breathability and weight reduction to ensure all-day comfort of the liner and helmet system.
The IMPACT ARMOR™ cells are optimised at a unit level by analysing the distance from the test headform to the EPS, creating a fine-tuned fit based on anthropometric standards.
// Flexibility by Design
The cellular structure is packed around key coverage areas that maintain performance across the liner whilst allowing the part to bend to the curvature of the EPS surface within the helmet. The resultant part can be molded flat but fit seamlessly into the final system, reducing manufacturing and tooling cost.
